It has been 2 days now that ammonia and nitrite are 0ppm in 12 hours. :hyper: At last!
I feel very safe to say that my tank is now cycled, which i am totally extatic about!

I am away from home tomorrow till sunday. My sister is taking charge of my tank for me while I am away. Knowing that my tank is cycled - is it still ok to carry on with adding ammonia in 12 hour installments until I return on sunday? It wont mess up the cycling will it - due to it being cycled but im still carrying on with the cyling..if you see what i mean??

I get back on sunday afternoon - so I was going to do a big water change, add all my plants and then monday late afternoon get the first lot of my fish.

My new revised stocking list for my tank (12 gallons/57 Litres) is:

Betta x 1
Glowlight Tetra x 6
Kuhli Loaches x 4

can I have some advice of which fish I should be buying first? Should I go with the betta first or leave that for last so the other fish have chance to settle in? Just want it to go as smoothly as possible for the fish. Are my quantities for the fish ok?

Thank you so much for your help in advance! and thank you to everyone on your constant help with my newbish questions! Couldnt have done this without all your help and advice! :good:

thank you - just me doing some last minute panicking as usual!

How do you think my stocking looks?

Is there anyone that could give me a hand on my stocking? What is the best order to put the fish in?

Generally, depends what type of fish you are going to put in. If you have aggressive type of fish it's best to put them last so they don't claim the whole tank for themselves
As for stocking, you should be able to put all at once. That's the purpose of fishless cycle.

Your Betta should be fine as you are not planning on any long finned varieties which he may see as competition! :good:

I agree with snazy, as bettas are territorial maybe add him or her last.

Thank you for your help - i thought that the betta should be added in last, but just wanted to confirm it. I know thyat he should be ok as the fish I have chosen to go with him should leave him alone - but just had to make sure.
