Looking For Floating Plants

Hi all

Im wanting to get 1 or 2 floating plants but becuase ive never had any before im not sure which to go for. I think java moss and raccia can be used for floating but i would rather use them on something.

Any idea's?

I have a Rio 125 so nothing that would grow to big.

Frogbit is a good one. What fish do you have as some like to eat floating plants.

Red Fin Shark, Neon Tetra's, Pakastani Loaches, Otto's and a Shrimp.

Java moss is not a surface plant its mainly tied onto bog-wood also rocks/stones.
You can have hornwort also as a floater.

Hornwort... most prolific surface plant..... I have to clear out every week.

thanks for your replies guys. im not sure about duck weed.... if its the same thing ive seen in ponds that stuff grows at an insane rate.

riccia i was hoping to use for the slate i have so dont really want it for floating. Hornwort look nice but if its as prolific as you say i might stear clear of that one.

So maybe frogbit. Also i had a look around and found pennywort... is that any good?

haha i dont work for them lol, i just rate them high because theyre brilliant

ive only used them once or twice but yeah they are good.
maybe you should go to them and tell them you've been advertising for them and ask for a cut!!
