These aren't pictures of the actual fish, but I'll be getting some offspring from these guys. Show quality parents, but no guarantee the offspring are show quality (hence free). Although the dark one is apparently a strain the breeder is developing with a turquoise sheen, so doesn't have quite as 'perfect' a tail.

Never been a massive fan of livebearers, but seeing as I'm hopefully selling up all my livestock and tanks in the near future I figured these would give me something interesting to watch in my spare fry tank (which I'm going to keep in the loft once I move at the end of the year).

I've gotta say though, as guppies go these are some of my favourites. I certainly don't like the mixed strains you get at the fish shop. Every single shop guppy I've seen seems to have at least some snakeskin. not a fan.

Hopefully the fry will be as beautiful as the parents :good:

James.

wow! if im honest ive never really been much of a guppy fan but that orange 1 is absolutely stunning

Hopefully :) I did say to the guy that I really just wanted something pretty to look at. He's keeping a few fry back that would've been culled cause they weren't worth breeding from.

This very photo is by Carl Stewart and if you buying from him then your getting top fish!
You can see from this photo the difference in tail shape from shop guppies and show guppies.

Look at the angles and the straightness of the tail. Look how thick the wrist is just before the tail.
Only thing letting this photo down being a show guppy is the little lump on the back behind the head, and a very slight arc in the tail.

I am getting them from him yes. :D When he comes up for the talks next weekend. He's being really kind, even though the ones I'll be getting are not necessarily any good as breeding stock for him, I'd still expected to be charged.

I would normally be attending the guppy weekend too, but cant this year.
Carl's none show fish are still top quality fish so expect good fish.
