Fish Crazy
Hi there!
I started out with 4 Mystery Snails in my 37 gallon tank. They were all doing well until I found 2 empty shells. The snails' bodies were nowhere to be found. Then another snail died, but it was still in its shell (I think it got trapped under something). I got a new snail to add to my 1 remaining and they were all doing well until yesterday I noticed the empty shell of the last of the original snails.
What is happening to my tank? I do dose the plants daily with CO2 Booster, if that has anything to do with it. Are the fish, by any chance, eating the snails? I think that this might be so because I dropped an algae wafer in the tank the night that the last original snail died; The catfish usually finish it off by morning. Well, the next day they had only started on it but looked happy and well fed. When I put the flakes in the tank they had a great appetite.
Thank you for your help and advice!! Any suggestions welcome.
