Good day, can someone please assist with identifying this snail found in new plants that I bought? Its about 3mm in size

Hello. Well, in most fish tanks, you have Mystery Snails, Trumpet Snails, Ramshorn Snails, Nerite Snails, Rabbit Snails, Assassin Snails and Bladder Snails. So, I suggest researching these to determine what kind you have. In small numbers, they'll keep your tank clean and won't add too much waste material load in the tank. But, they won't eat any type of "poop" from your fish.

Look at Physidae and Limnaeidae in MattW's link. They are very similar, the main different being the way the shell curves. There's a diagram in the link showing which is which.
 
Thank you very much for all the replies, I will research them. It's always nice to have a good starting point
