hello once again everyone, yet another question on plants here. i just got a new light system for my 30 gallon tank, but the lights that are in it are only 20 watts a piece, so i only have like 1.33 watts per gallon. and 20 watts are the strongest bulbs i can find around here or on ebay. so my question is, where can i find some bulbs around 40 watts a piece, or something that will give me something around 3 watts per gallon.

common problem i'm afraid. you up the wattage by adding more tubes. higher wattage tubes will be longer in length and probably wont fit your hood. you need to try to squeeze more tubes under the hood. usually it's a diy job. check out the hardwear section, theres some "how to" threads in there.
