Lights And Air Stones ?

i have no live plants so so how long should i have the lights and the air pump on ? does it make any difference ?

8-12 hours, for lights and id split to timer to keep algae down.  tbh you dont need the air stone, long if your filters making surface movement there should be enough O2 in there

Not really no. Having no plants just means you only need the lights on for as long as you feel you need to see the stuff inside your tank.

The air-stone is largely aesthetic, too, unless your filter struggles to break the water surface and get some oxygen exchange going.

my filter is set to bubble and puts a fair bit out , i would like the lights on more but dont want to if its affecting the water . is 12 hours ok ? im on about 8 at the moment . cheers d

its only algae your goimng to have to worry about with putting the lights on for longer
