I would put a pic up of kitty to show how much she looks like yours, but I now use my sons computor and I can't get into his phototgraphs as I need a password.

I've just looked through aaaaaaall of this thread (I think I need a lie down now  ). And blimey, at 32, I don't half feel old, compared to most folks here  :hyper:
But it's all good, cos I AM still here! :good:

My cat, Dillon, is a bit dim too. I think he's boiled his brain, when he rams it against the radiator :fun:

This is he.. my other baby :)

If you don't mind my asking, what kind of cancer is it, and how old are you?
Don't mind you asking at all :)
It's breast cancer, that's spread to my liver, bones, brain, and lungs. First diagnosed with early/primary bc when I was 29.. liver secondaries a year and a bit later. And the rest followed! I'm 32 (just!) now.

Big hugs for you. My Nana beat it for 19 years so I'm told, sort of opposite of Leukaemia it was. You're a fighter, much love xx

Aww thank you

I know my 'strain' is very aggressive, hence it's spread so quickly. They've been telling me I probably have a few months left, for the past 17 months. And from christmas, up until just a few weeks ago, I was really poorly and thought (and hoped, to be honest. I felt so bad) that was it.
But the chemo seems to be helping (even with its horrible side-effects) for now, so I just have to keep hoping :)

Wow you're amazing, I am actually in awe and that's rare.

Deefus, id just like to say u are one amazing lady, to be so brave about it all takes courage, and i wish u all the best, and i hope the chemo does its job for u sweetie, fingers n toes crossed here for ya xxx

You have the most amazing spirit Deefus and good luck to you with all your treatment. One of my best friends 16 yr old daughter is having chemo at the moment. She had a brain tumour removed last year followed by intensive radiation treatment and is now on chemo. She is an amazing young girl and is doing really well with her GCSE despite feeling so ill. She's planning a trip to Europe next year through the Starlight Childrens Foundations and has asked me to go with her..........what an honour :D

The best thing for me was when she turned up for mine and Andy's wedding last year 2 days after getting out of hospital following the tumour being removed. I couldn't believe her strength of character and determination.

Here she is  the daughter I never had.

I agree.
I don't like talking about cancer as I lost my mum to it.
Good luck.

Deefus, if anybody is going to beat it, it's going to be you and I mean that.
I think you have us all in awe. Some people find out they have cancer and they go 'that's it then' and it's all over. And some people just keep going. You're definitely in that category - you are absolutely amazing!

Oh gawd, I'm not amazing or brave, or anything like that. I just get on with it, because I have no choice.. just like anyone else in a similar situation has to, I suppose. I certainly don't want to spend the rest of my days miserable, so just have to make the most of what I've got.. And Alfie (my first Betta!) hasn't half managed to cheer up my week :D I do have some days where I just feel ill, horrible, and hopeless though.

I think we're all conditioned, from a very early age, that life should be good and rosy. But for alot of people, that's just not the case.
I used to think (and still do, sometimes) "Why me?". But really, why not me? It happens to plenty of other people. You just never think it will happen to you, or the people you care about, until it does.

Netty, kids are much more resilient than we often give them credit for, aren't they!
Last October, I'd been having very mild headaches for a couple of weeks. Turns out they were caused my a 3cm tumour in my cerebellum. I don't mind admitting it was a very very scary time.
They whipped it out a few days later, and after the surgery, I couldn't walk on my own, or see properly. But I hated being in hospital, so I made some effort, and persuaded them to let me go home 3 days after surgery. It's much nicer stumbling around in your own home, than in hospital! :fun:

I found a photo of me and t'other half, which was taken a couple of weeks ago. I don't go much for wearing wigs now, because my scalp's been more sensitive since I had the brain radiation. But I have loooads of scarves, which are much comfier..

Deefus I think you look absolutely stunning with or without hair! the pic of you with the cropped style I thought was just you having a change of style and I wish I would look that good with short hair! You are an inspiration to everyone!!! :thumb:
