I've been wittering on occasionally about overhauling the 200ltr. Well, that hasn't gone entirely to plan, but I have given it a facelift.

Added some small stones and gravel for a more "natural" , less "sterile" feel

Completed look (well, so far)

Now my mind is thinking "More driftwood. Or lava rock. Or both". :D. I'm waiting for more plants, which should hopefully arrive today.

I also placed some root tabs near the plants. :good:

Water quality and chemistry stable.

I intend to move my male Pearl Gourami, Rocky across at some point, and get more of them. I also want more Blue Rams, although the "original" not electric blue variant (don't get me wrong - I love the two rams I have, but I prefer the original over colour morphs). I know I'll have to have another move around for them.

Thanks for looking. :)

It looks much better.

The driftwood you added in the in the corners add a nice contrast. :good: :fish:

Looking awesome! :good:
Looks great. The additional plants will top it off. :)

Thank you to you both.

Thank you. The wood was always in there, I just moved it around. :p :D

Next on my list is the 120ltr makeover, which will have to wait until Payday. That will be less strenuous, as I'm leaving the substrate as it is.

I'm also planning on moving the current occupants of the 120, to the 200, mainly because of filter issues, but also because I really do want more PGs. Not today, though. Today I recover from yesterday.

Definitely leave the substrate in there. I couldn’t imagine having to remove substrate in that big of a tank.

Plants arrived today, as did some alder cones. Plants are currently in quarantine, but I've added a quarter (1 pack) of the alder cones:

Added the plants during a partial water change;

The fish must have thought I was coming after them again, bless them because they panicked a bit and the rams went into hiding.

They soon recovered when I fed them, though. :D

The sand does look better, plants look good. When I do a water change on my 55 gallon I turn off everything so the fish are in the dark and only vacuum 1/2 my tank. I noticed at first the fish would all go to the other end of the tank and hide but now they have become brave and many of them will follow the vacuum around the tank. :fish:

Yeah, the Rams usually do that in mine, and the neons just mind their own business so I think it's just because this is the first water change since I changed the substrate. I've no doubt they'll settle down again. :)

When I changed my tank over from LOTR Castle to Sunken Forest last month my fish were a little timid at first. I should have included that in my last comment. For them it is like being in a new tank. My neons just swim around now too. My glow light tetra have taken over the center of the tank where it is more open. My ember Tetra just stay in the anacharis "forest" that I pretty much left alone.
