I was wondering what kind of food can I use as a laxative for my clownfish or any fish in the salty world.

I have heard peas work well, you can mash them up a little bit and try to get them down the clowns throat.    My clown gets constipated all the time, I think it is really common for them, I find that every other day for big feedings helps keep the constipation down, eating a lot every day seems to block them up a little.

I recommend feeding Formula II flake for them. It's got a great mix of ingredients that's good for pretty  much all marine fish. All my fish will eat this even my anthias which are normally planktivores.

My female clown is 7 years old, the male a bit younger and neither have had an issue with constipation. Actually, none of my fish ever have. Diet is key in this regard.
