Kuhli Loaches and Yes, Even MORE Cory Cats!

As everyone probably knows by now...I love loaches...every single one of them. And I've been looking for Kuhlis for quite some time now. Well at lunch time today at work I went into the nearly lfs and lo and behold, I find Kuhlis wriggling in one of the tanks! Tehn I moved about two tanks over, and I set sights on some of the biggest (and fattest) Corys I've ever seen in an lfs. So after work, I went back and bought four of the Kuhlis (two black/brown and two regular striped) and four of the Corys (two of each of the two spotted types). They are all enjoying their new home with my female bettas.

Oh and if anyone can help me ID the Corys, I would be greatly thankful. I think they are schwartzi and agassizii, but I'm not totally sure as there are so many different Cory species avaliable.

Anyways on to the pics! We'll start with the Kuhlis.

They're so CUTE!! I love the cories!

When I was young, I had a couple of the striped Kuhlis loaches, but my crawfish ate it! Yes, I had a crawfish! It was actually a very stupid thing to do, but I was young and didn't know that much about fish! I found 2 crawfish in the lake and brought them and put them in my small tank! )

I'm loving the Corys too. They are really huge...the schwartzi's are about 2.5 inches long and the agassizii's are about 3-3.5 inches long! I couldn't believe I found Cory's of that size around here...most of them are only about an inch long.

And hey we all made mistakes when we first started. I had a 10 gallon community tank set up for the longest time, and then my friend told me about these really neat fish of hers that had babies. So I put five of them in the tank. Turned out tehy were Black Convict Cichlids! Needless to say, my community tank didn't last long...

parker - Thanks! Those Corys are so funny! They try to swim with the female bettas and the girls just ignore them. And those Kuhlis are so hard to take pics of! They are so tiny! They love to curl around the stems of my plants...it's really cute.
