do they dig? in sand, if so how far down? im thining of useing dirt with a sand cap in a planted aquairum, but if i get kuhli's they might dig up and mix the cap with the sand

I have 2 in my gravel substrate  tank and sometimes they have a right go at burrowing down into the gravel so I would imagine they would do the same in sand and enjoy it a lot more!!

ok thanks for the advice, i wont get them then , there lovely fish but if there going to muck up the tank, i think i'll pass

I could be wrong but only stating what I've observed. I'm sure someone more knowledgeable will come along soon enough!!
