I have read that i can keep tetras with them and tiger barbs?

i always forget that i have 3 black tail tetra and they have always gotten along with my kribs.

I have kept kribs with platies. They got along fine even when the kribs were breeding. They did need to learn to stay away from the kribs territory but learned where that was fairly quickly.

Most kribs wont activiley hunt other fish down. They will nip at the other fish if they get to close, and if the fish still dosent learn, then it obviously isnt a very bright fish!
