My kribensis laid about 100 eggs and over the past couple of days they have eaten them and as it's only the females second batch and the males first I expected this but the female is still guarding the nest so my question is can I do anything to stop her guarding the empty nest so they can spawn again

Not really. They may have eaten the eggs but she's mostly likely still thinking about the eggs. You'll need to let her accept the eggs are gone and move on in her own time, I've had Kribs breed within days of eggs being eaten or in some cases a couple of weeks. You just have to let nature take its course.

Ok thank you for the advice and also I'm not sure if the male fertilised the eggs as they were quite white and the pair were only together less than one week so do you think he would fertilise them next time or would he not fertilise them at all

He probably will do yes. They can often need a bit of practice so I wouldn't worry too much just yet.

I'm having the same issue, both parents are guarding their cave but I don't see anything in it.  She had been fanning the eggs but they were a green/gray color, so I'm guessing they ate them. Maybe I should move them to my other tank now before they start frisky dancing so that I don't have to chase down babies if they do make it that far.  Then they can be alone.
