Would these two work together. I want the kribensis but have been looking for something to go with it.

75g tank

"Wills" would be great to talk to you about this in detail, with actual personal experience of keeping them, but I would suggest a Headstander group would be more robust for Kribs, not to mention their graceful movements and your bigger tank than mine would be perfect for some!

Annonstomus Ternetzi, the ones Wills has, are the only ones that are social as they reach adulthood. I might be wrong, but I think Wills was trying to find a home for some following the shiftaround of stock and his new tank that arrived the other day ;)

Hi :) yeah as Goat says headstanders would be okay with kribs as said either Annostomus Ternetezi or the Marbled Headstanders would work in this tank Spoted Heastanders might work depends on the temperment of the kribs though.

Bloodfin Tetras might work as they are known to stay in the upper levels of the water and will stay out of the kribs way naturally, they are also quite a shy tetra that needs to be in big groups I think a big group of 20-25 of these would work very well with the kribs and due to the tetras tight shoaling nature the kribs might be put off doing any damage to them.

Personally though I would probably go for a school of barbs if you want a splash of red in the tank you cant beat barbs, dension barbs, black ruby barbs and odessa barbs could be more robust alternatives for your tank. The black ruby barb would be my favorite as they are found the closest in the wild to kribs as they are widley distributed all over asia and parts of africa.

I looked them up and would prefer to have some top/middle fish, because of having the loaches & getting the 2 Kribensis.

I was thinking of 12, so probably not what I am looking for. :(

Thank you. I will look over my 'barb' possibilities. Thank you for the response (both of you)! I want to do this right.

How about:
Red Glass Barb
White Finned rosy barb

or am I just nitpicking and a lot of barbs would work?

I have to admit not familiar with either of those barbs but they both seem to be either rosy barbs or relatives of them and so yes they would be fine just avoid long finned ones as long fins in a community with fish prone to slight aggression can be a bit of a problem simetimes.

Wills.
