Krib Emergency!

hi, 4 days ago 9 baby kribs hatched. one died a couple of days later but the others were fine. but now i have just seen 2 of the babies swimming about just above the sand nowhere near the parents. what should i do? do i leave them and see if they live? or do i catch them and put them in a livebearer breeding trap?

please help

Putting them in the trap wont harm if you want, but I usually leave fry in a tank and let them grow - survival of the fittest and all that. If they have bred once they will again

thanks, i was just a bit worried because i have loads of other fish in the tank. a bit later the dad started swimming about as if looking for something. then, he found one of the babies and sucked it up. then, he took it back to the cave were the mum was with the rest of the babies. then he spat it out and went to look again. he found the second baby and did the same. but then he kept searching the tank for ages. now there are 7 babies with the parents, so they must have missed one.

Kribs are usually great parants, (apart from my dopey male) he chased off the female and killed her, he has raised 7 babies on his own so far with lots of other fish in the tank including 4 pictus cats. I would leave tham for a couple of weeks at least, if the fry get eaten the parents will do a better job next time.
