Lfs has a batch of these tetras instock, never seen or heard of them before. They kinda look like Emperor tetras only though dont have a 'crown' tail and seem smaller. Does anyone keep any of these, are they easy to keep and does anyone have any information on them?

Inpaichthys kerri is also known as the Royal Tetra. A small shoaling fish, peasceful to the extent that it is easily bullied, so shouldn't be kept with boistrous tank mates. Keep at least 6.

Somewhat delicate, it does not tolerate nitrogen pollution, (similar to Cardinals etc.). Naturally comes from soft acid conditions, but as long as they are healthy in your local dealers tanks, they'll probably be alright in your tapwater.

Females are, somewhat unusually, considerably smaller than males. Females grow to 25-30mm males can be over 40mm, and have an overall blue sheen.

Used to be quite a common fish way back but I haven't seen them for sale for some years.
