whats the difference between a fluval2 and a fluval2+ filter

Fluval 2 is an underwater box type filter with cylindrical media. I've seen them used with under gravel filter trays.


The 2+ is an internal hang on filter with flat pad media.

Fluval 2+ is just the new version of the Fluval 2.

Difference the Fluval 2 had one cylindrical sponge in it, while the 2+ has 2 sponges and space in the middle for 2 floss and/or carbon pads.

The Fluval 2+ also has an indicator that tells you when it's blocked up and is easier to clean since all the media slots out the bottom.
