dont think so they also sell baracuda

The most common Shark being kept today is the Bamboo sp.
In any case not for the home aquaria Sharks need constant water travelling over their gills and you would also need to suppress the electricity from all the pumps and heaters etc or the shark would just go haywire.
Experienced aquarists still find it hard to keep fish such as long nose butterflies never mind contending with shark husbandry. More suited to public aquaria and even then.....

i find it stupid that they sell these as there more and likely just not going to have a good life

A guy in my lrc kept a bamboo until it grew to big and donated it to a zoo. Now he has a small carpet shark. I don't think they're that hard as long as one is experienced. I'd like to have a large 500g tank w/a shark and ray some day. Probably after the kids are grown and gone.(Kids take up to much $$$ lol)

Reef tips need in the 1,000 of gallons, imo. They are a species that HAVE to keep moving all the time and can't stop or rest like the bamboo and carpet sharks. Def. suited to public aquaria or in the ocean.
