Jmc Hi Grow Granules

I bought a tank a while back and was given some various foods with it, one was a tub of hi-grow granules. From the name I assume I am supposed to believe they will make my fish double in size overnight . I gave my tropical community tank a few last night and every fish in the tank went wild for them. I noticed they are high protien. The fish love them but are they OK to give them? Just worried they may not be good for them. I wouldn't give them as a main food of course, I feed tetramin flake, frozen bloodworm and the odd algae wafer as well.

BTW, I also was given a tub of tubifex cubes and none of the fish will eat them!

JMC do make good foods, I use the catfish pellets, unfortunately I have a red spot severum that absolutely adores them and tried to eat them before they get to the bottom for the cats

Freeze dried foods I have found are just messy and the fish dont tend to eat them, your better off with frozen

My Oscar loves the JMC catfish pellets more than his own food too

It's pretty funny watching him doing headstands to hoover them up

You'll be fine using the hi grow pellets as part of a varied diet. The more different foods you can give the better in my opinion.

if you wet the cube of tubifex worms
it will stick to the front glass
of your tank and the fish will come up
and peck at it good if you have cichlids
they will try taking the lot on one go
.does need to be softend like i said
between finger and thumb to make easeier
to eat
