HI

I have a java fern in my tank and I love it. It has been in there for abour 6 months and has survived an infestation of snails. I was wondering about what looks like another java fern growing off the tip of the largest leaf. It is a baby java fern and has roots. I was wondering if I should just let it grow there or should i cut it off and plant it next to the adult one, or will it fall off on its own and plant. ?

Thanks.

It will float off when it is ready, you can then plant it. If it is big enough to handle, and you need it now, you can cut/pull it off.

it threw me when ours first did it too :D

we regularlt get small ones now and when they come off i group them together on another but of rock and them move them about - into different tanks etc :)
