Thought i would make a thread regarding my tank and will update as and when...
Took my 5 silver dollars back to my local fish shop as i wanted a planted look back...so bought some bunched plants and got myself 2 striped angels. They are gorgeous ....

That is an awesome piece of bogwood you have in there man! Nice looking tank too. Will look cracking once your plants grow in a bit.

Amazing! Love the plants, angels are beauties you have there.

Well quite an update to the tank guys.......i firstly removed the bogwood and replaced with a smaller piece which i have attached my 2 anubias on.....thought the wood made my tank look smaller.
Next i replaced my substrate with white sand which looks alot better but maybe pain to clean ha...

I then arranged a pebble mound on one side and an open part in the centre...kuhlis love the rocks ha

Then i bought 3 more albino corys taking the total to 10 and i got 4 rainbow fish i think they are called black stripe rainbows????

Comments and advice appriciated thanks.

Oh and i changed the background to black from a planted one....looks better i think

And unless I've gone blind - which is always a possibility - the angels went where?????

Ahh yes well..i was told rainbows and gouramis wouldnt go with angels ?? So when i gave the old roma 125 to my girlfriends brother they went with him....i do miss them:(

this looks so great! amazing what a visual difference just changing the substrate does.. and i LOVE the pebble pile, nice choice. And what is the plant in the center back with big leaves, a type of anubias?? Tank looks awesome!!! :good:

Wow, looks real nice. When I aS reading that you replaced that nice big bit of wood you had (which I really liked by the way) I wasn't really expecting to like it to be honest, but what an improvement!

Good job :good:

it is a fake anubias along with the fake valis type plant to the right of it lol....made by fluval

Thanks for great comments...anything else i could add ? Fish wise or decor wise

Hmm... I think it looks great, but maybe if there's one little thing, I would say you need something for height to the right of the tank, next to the pile of pebbles, maybe a skinny piece of driftwood sticking up.... it's not even really necessary though. But that would be my one suggestion.

Lovely looking tank! However, I think you might have a non aquatic in there. The "fern" looks like Selaginella willdenowii, which if it is then it will eventually rot and cause water problems. Which is a shame, cause it's a fantastic looking plant.

Definite improvement, initially I was thinking why change it, but it looks fantastic now :)

Thanks guys.....only adjustment i have made is with the rainbows i bought yesterday i had to take them back today as they were brutally chasing and nipping my albino corys...always were told rainbows were peacefull and love my corys too much....so i purchased a pair of rams omg gorgeous underrated fish....blue stripes under the eyes look gorgeous.....hope they are a pair and not both males..
Regarding the fern if its non aquatic i will remove it....annoys me how fish shops sell plants that arnt meant to be in the tank...

Good luck with the Rams, I had 3 which were fine for 2 months then went gradually downhill then died :-( stunning fish but are not very hardy. Great looking tank, just need some more "height" in there but that will come when your plants grow more.

Well my malawis are gone as they just wernt for me. Always chasing and fighting...so back to the community fish and i love them lol.

Girlfriend kept some of my fish so i have my trusty old favourites lol

10 harlequin rasboras
5 albino corys
2 angels...1 black 1 white
1 female betta
1 male powder blue dwarf gourami
10 cardinals.

Could i add any more? Suggestions
