Jack Dempsey Tank Mates

I haven't been on here in ages! Anyways, as I am shutting down one of my smaller tanks I have been doing some changes. My Malawi's have all gone to new homes today and my e.b jack dempsey's have been moved into the 125g 6 footer, along with some of their other tank mates. They now live with my syno's. These guys are especially placid, having grown up with endlers of all sizes, as well as synos, loaches and doradids. Does any one have any ideas for top/middle tank dwellers as the synos have the bottom and since the malawi's are all gone it looks well empty. It is well filtered by 2 tetratec 1200 external's and an eheim external (one needs overkill with malawi's and catfish). Quite fancy congo tetra's but wondered if anything else might work as well without upsetting the dempsey's.

Haha hello you.....Yeah congo's could work, as could colombian tetra or ticto barbs, spanner barbs or some of the other mid sized barbs

I have an Electric Blue JD in my community tank and the only fish he doesn't get on with are my Angel fish.
He gets on fine with my Red line Torpedo barbs and Oddesa barbs.
