I've ordered my 1st ever Endlers...

well, I now have more Santa Maria Endler fry, than I can count, from my 2 starting pairs... a few ( the 1st ones ) are getting pretty big, still no colors yet... but I'll have to find a buyer for the young, once they develope...

do they typically yield about half males, & half females, & does temp or ph, or any other parameters effect the sex ratio???

For my yellow Tiger endler population I’m getting approximately 50:50 sex ratio of fry at temperatures of 74F and pH 6.5.

last night I noticed a new batch of fry in the Endler tank, and one of the 1st group has started showing male coloration ...

still lots of fry in the Japan Blue/ Gold double Sword Guppies, but no sexual distinction there yet...

breeding has been going well, I currently have 4-5 highly, and correctly colored Santa Maria Endler males, along with the 2 original females, and a dozen other uncolored young fish...

the Japan Blue / Gold Guppies are breeding heavily as well... at some point, I'm going to have to do something with a few pairs of each, since they are both in 10 gallon tanks, each with a different color of shrimp...
