"No one is a failure unless you try"
Today I saw my midas hybrid and oscar have a quarrel (as cichlids do). I know, generally the terms "midas" and "quarrel" are a very bad combination, but my midas thinks the oscar is her mate, so there's generally very little aggression. There are disagreements over food on occasion, but I never see bite marks or torn fins.
Anyway, as is usual, it was just a lot of flared gills, open mouths, and posturing with no actual contact. I bumped the glass just to see if it would break them up, and indeed it did! They started giving one-another angry glances right after, and I just pointed my finger and said "you know better" and that ended that!
Yeah ok, so maybe I don't exactly have them trained, but I got a kick out of the fact that they knew exactly what I wanted them to stop doing when I pointed at them
