is this algae ?? how do i get rid of it

It looks more like organics. I had this in one tank.

The tank needs a cleaning. I don't mean tear it down, just do some serious water changes with very good digging into the substrate, and keep the filter well cleaned. Other factors can include overstocking, and/or overfeeding. The light has little to do with an organics bloom, but the plants seem to be struggling and better plant growth helps with this.
 
Hello. From my knowledge of algae, there are many different strains, types, species whatever you want to call them. There are two main sources for tank problems. One is overfeeding the fish and the other is not changing enough water and not often enough. Aquarium fish are very small and the stomach of one is fish very, very small, so it doesn't take much to fill it. If you feed only what your fish will eat in a couple of minutes and only every other day, you can get rid of algae and add to the feeding schedule, larger and more frequent water changes you will have solved your problem.
