Is My Cycle Over?

He may have just been a weak one so they stress of the move was too much. Do the others seem ok?

The one that died was the calmest of the 4 and the biggest...the other larger one is doing a lot frantic swimming up and down the glass still which makes me nervous. My platies are doing fine and the 2 smaller cories are going around the bottom and are looking less "wild" I am hoping the one who died was just weaker like you said...I'm taking him back to the store today with a water sample, but they won't tell me anything different from my test.

A big problem I'm having is knowing what is "normal" for cories and what is a sign they aren't doing well. I have turned off the lights like soybean.

As he's bigger, he may just be really happy with all the extra space. Your tank must seem like a universe to him compared to the LFS tank. Could just be that. Try not to worry. :)

 Thanks so much for your replies. I do tend to be a little high strung about everything and I worry too much. I feel calmer which will probably help the fish be calmer since I won't be hovering over there tank casting a big scary shadow :fun:

Yes, the amount of people who report their fish being reallyreallystressed, you can usually guarantee they're spending much of the day peering in at the fish anxiously, looming over them with their giant head
