omg i have a swordtail and sometimes he goes to the bottom and hangs out with the cories :) out of all the other fish he is the only one that actually goes into the caves even when the cories are in them and sometimes at night i turn on the light and he is next to them...i just spotted the brochis and baby cory scavenging a little bit and they stopped when they saw me but at least i know they are doing sneaky work lol :D
Is he a red swordtail with red eyes? (something like blood red). Or female?
Oddly my other female was scared of the catfish, but this red one, named Bee, keeps hanging out with Tzuppy and eating off the bottom of the tank or if I give daphnia, they both go to the surface and eat together. The male swordtail (which is green+black and named Cracker) doesn't always hang out, he's more on his own or likes to sniff after Bee.

mine is black with a little orange on the head its eyes are also greenish yellow he's a male and i had a female but he just simply ignored her and well she seemed a little sad and i decided to give her to my cousin where he has about 15 swordtails in a 55 gal tank and she is doing fine over there. My swordtail is the only one in the tank and he doesn't seem to mind at all

Mine sometimes goes after the female, but she turns around at him and he's like "I'm in trouble O_O" and hides behind the filter. Bee's one bossy queen X)) She used to be the one who would get picked on by the black female swordtail (which my friend and I named Diamond) that died, but she turned against the bully when she saw her weaker.

Dia had some kind of parasite infection. When I brought her from the pet shop, she was making white poop. I separated her because she wasn't feeling well, but I couldn't save her and wasn't equipped to. She refused to eat till the end. All I could do was put her in a way warmer place with water changes twice daily.

At least these two are lively, eating, claiming their favorite spots over the filter... But it would be nice to give them a bigger / better home. Now it all matters whether I can or someone else can give them the home.

yeah hopefully you can get them a better home :D
Yeah but since i'm such a naive person, I don't know what will happen in the end. I've done my part of the job, but all the boss can say is that he will pay me this week. No clues as to what amount of money or an exact date. If nothing works out, I'll have to give the fishy friends as a last resort.

But in case I can build a 100L tank, would that be enough to house a shoal of 6 bronze or emerald corys? (I've heard that the emeralds might need a bigger tank).
It would be a tough choice, as right now I have a swordtail pair and the hoplo, so that sounds like I cannot get any other type of fish even with a 100L and as long as I have these 3, I won't need any other type of fish. But some day, when my Hoplo will not be around anymore, I don't know what to choose between 6 cory or another single hoplo. Or are neither suited / can't work at all with a 100L tank with about 60 cm length?

Yeah its gonna be a tough choice with the cories and hoplo
Well, I'm not saying putting both Hoplo and Cory shoal. It's either one Hoplo or six Corys. Though there may be a few years before I'll have to choose, and I hope it won't be too soon.

Yeah they are very playful and fun to watch, especially if they are in sand and if you have a pretty decent sized shoal
