Is My Cory Doing Better Today?

So as some of you saw i posted last night that my cory girl was injured near her eye and i was very worried. I also provided pictures for people to help me out even more. Today i decided to follow an advice of changing 50% water and then add conditioner after a while. I did as told and today my cory girl came out after about 15 minutes of changing the water. I noticed that her injury is a little different and i got a couple of pictures of her again. I don't really see if she is getting better however she did come out on her own and last night she wouldn't even move out of her cave. Here are the pictures:

I can't really tell from the pictures how it looks different, but if she is venturing out on her own, that's a step forward! I'll keep my fingers crossed for you!

I think the 50% water change did help her

I would continue with the treatment Tolak suggested for you, it will help prevent an infection of the wound!!!

Yeah her wound seems a little spongy but very little...is this infection?

Keep up with the daily water changes. Of all the things I've tried over the years this is the best treatment, cheapest & easily available too!

She is back to hiding in her cave but since i saw her outside i'm going to hold on on the moving her into the hospital tank. If her wound seems to have like a little bit of cotton like things on top of it is this infection?

I was looking into fungal infection, but it looks like both of these, only that it is very hard to see, i noticed it because she was with the baby cory(just got him about 1 week ago and he is about 1 inch long) and when she saw me she turned stopped moving and i noticed the little spongy like material... Then she ran off. For now i think i should try to inestigate more and check on her behavior if it changes or anything seems to get worse, i will try my best...I feel much better than last night, i actually have more hope today I think she does too!

I don't think she has that disease, but maybe it just isn't as developed, however if it does develop i will try my best to get to the pet store and get meds... All i have here is some itch medicine and conditioner...i should be more prepared. Hopefully warm temperatures don't increase the growth of the disease if there is any

Before you spend money on any meds, try to post some pictures of your cory's wound on this forum. There are so many experienced aquarists here that will help you! Continue with her care plan for now, it may just be all she needs!!!

That fluffy look is secondary to columnaris. which is bacterial. It is also secondary to injuries, and really nothing to worry about as long as you keep the water quality up.
