I think that would work for awhile. You might want to give him a 100Gal once he gets bigger in like a year or so. But the 70 gal would be fine.

he was in a 120g, I just wanted to use that for other stuff.

He is currently in the 70g and he is 7" and looks lost!

Yeah that tank would be fine for a long time maybe his life. But I have seen these guys at 12+" and I would think at that size
you would want to give him a larger tank. this one big guy I saw liked to chase people from
one side of his tank to another. It was pretty funny my husband loved it.

My thoughts exactly.

If he gets big ..... at 10" plus, I would personally want to give a fish a bigger tank than a 70G. Until then ... fine.
