Hello 👋🏻 Welcome aboard matey! Thanks for sharing photos of your tanks with us, they look great 👍🏻 keep an eye out for our monthly competitions, you should definitely enter! It's just a bit of fun but it's a nice way to encourage and be inspired 😁

Yes……welcome to TFF. Those tank pics are awesome and surely beyond a typical 3 year fish keeper.

Thanks everyone. Pic no2 is my 105l I've just pulled it apart for a rescape because my longfin bn made about 100 babies, so I had to get them to my lfs. It was so heavily stocked I had to do water changes 3 times a week and clean the filter every 2 weeks. All that's left in it are daddy bn 3 cherry barbs from an original 6, 3 glowlight tetras, 1 female betta, 2 sterbai cories and a whole host of cherry shrimp in various colours. I'll post pics of the rescape once it clears.

Welcome to you and your beautiful tanks!

Hi again, I'm a full time carer so it has taken a wee while to organise getting pics of my update to my 105l but here it is. There are currently 1 bn pleco, 7 glowlight tetras, 2 sterbai cories 3 cherry barbs and a whole host of neocaridina. The tank looks a little lifeless. Do you think I should add anything? I did think about boosting the cherry barbs to 9 but the ones I have are quite old(over 2yrs old) what do you guys think?

Both the barbs and the Cory’s like larger groups to feel safe. You might add 3 or 4 of each, but check some online fish calculators. Maybe add just the Cory’s or just the barbs first to let the system adjust to the bioload. What is your filtration? I like lots more filtration for safety, and get filters for the next larger tank size.

Gorgeous aquariums, by the way.

It's triple filtered. I have a fluval 406 which is the main one and then there's the seachem tidal 55 hob and a fluval u1 internal with just coral in it. It sounds a lot but I have a habit of things breeding. Lol. Had a massive over population of longfin marigold bristlenoses. They bred twice in a couple of months. Got rid of the female cos I love my boy too much then set up a grow out tank and proceeded to spend the next 6 months assaulting my local lfs with pleas of 'please take my babies'. Lol. He did but I left the filtration in place anyway. My big one is also double filtered. And thanks so much for the compliment. I missed the competition this month but I'll try and be on the ball next month. Also I was trying to vote for your tank. Sorry I missed it.

Your tanks are gorgeous and I like your over-filtration. This tank does look a bit high in current…..maybe baffle your filters a bit. If it were I, I would add another 7 glowlight tetras to bring them out more as they would feel safer and they’d add only a tiny bioload. Then add a couple more Cories.

Welcome to your and your beautiful tank.
