My BN has a red patch on his/her belly and also red skin on half of his/her body. I heard this could be a sign of Internal bleeding, stress and if he/she is ready to breed. Please help! What should I do?

could be ammonia poisoning, get your water checked and do a large water change.
did you cycle your tank? if so what kind and for how long?
what are the stats?
what other fish are in there?

and what is a BN? sorry not familiar with short form :(

It's a Bristlenose Pleco and the red skin has gone away now he/she is normal color but i'm not sure is the red patch on her/his belly is gone.
The only other fish I have in my tank right now is Albino Corydoras and they usually just swim around looking for food and sometimes when my BN is sitting down they search for food on him/her too and he/she doesn't mind.

How big is your tank?
How long has it been set up?
Have you tested your Ammonia, Nitrite and Nitrate levels?

How long have you had the Pleco?
How long have you had the cories?

oh ok then, sounds like you did not cycle your tank... and there is ammonia poisoning going on... i would say you need to start doing water changes... make sure that you treat the water... and also get the water tested so we can go on some stats.. this'll help see whats up with the tank.
