Hi.

Just out of curiosity. Has anyone kept Black Ghost Knife with Kuhli Loach?

Today after re-arranged my plants, I observe that my Kuhli loves to cuddle, twisting their bodies around the BGK. Will they be alright since BGK was known to generate electric current.

They'll be ok until the day that the BGK decides he might want to eat them!

Black Ghost Knife fish get huge compared to tiny Khuli loaches, the loaches are very good at hiding though, they wont always hang arround the Knifefish.

:shifty: hehe thanks, I have plenty of places for my loaches to hide. Now I just hope the BGK will not get too annoyed or else he will start thinking loaches as free snacks

even so, I'd be loathed to do the mix.

I've had my share of fish, which i have kept. that seem to give the lie to the common thoughts on behaviour.
but in every case (well all but one) the advice has proven right.

it works for a time, then i see a prized fish dead or hurt.

I honestly advise its not worth it.

LoL. I knoiw this sounds rich, from someone who keeps Crayfish in a community. but i did say " all but one" case.

Wouldn't Kuhli Loahces be lost in a 6x3x3 tank?

There is a good reason why I have just plucked those large dimensions from thin air, your BGK needs a tank of at least that dimension, so that the depth and short sides give it room to turn and a length that gives it limited swimming space in a moderate-strong current. Every cute little BGK you see in the shop should turn into a "tankbuster" far outside the realms of most fish keepers at ~50cm!
