Hi,

I'm new to this and need some advice.
I want to get a tank (15-25 Gallons) and some Mollies (Dalmations and Black) and maybe some Cardinal Tetras.
Please email me at [email protected] for anymore info/ideas and put the subject as "Tropical Fish Forums, Info"

Questions-

How many of each fish will I need?
Do I need a bigger tank?
Can you give me tips/advice?
What will I need?
How many plants, etc will I need?
What will be the average cost for: the fish, tank, gravel, plants, filter, etc?

THANK YOU SO MUCH IN ADVANCE!!!!!! :good:

Hi, soooo many questions and so little research  There is plenty of oppornunity to search the pinned subjects within these forums to answer a lot of your queries.
Mollies do better in brackish water (slightly salty) Do you not have a LFS to enquire about the cost of basic fishkeeping equipment?

You should try to do a little work yourself then ask for help with things that require an experienced answer.

If you asked something like, I have £xxx and want to keep XXXX fish, what tank would you suggest then answers will be more possible.

Look, I was tired and this was like 14 days ago since then I've visited 109 websites and gained knowledge of fish, okay?

I've bought a 30 Gallon, stand, gravel, gravel siphon, amtrite down, water ager gn,net, etc

Thanks Anyways

Have a look at posts on this site about fishless cycling....that will give you a starting point if you havent already read about it.

I would avoid mollies if you could.
Have you bought a master water test kits?? for ammonia, nitrITe and NitrATe? that is going to be pretty important.

If you could avoid using chemicals that affect nitrate, nitrite and ammonia I would(for example ammonia lock). It can just make more work for yourself as it masks your correct readings in the tank...thats my personal experience anyway.

Doresy was only trying to help.
