Those tanks just look so good! You may come around my house and rescape my tank anytime :D

look on other forum hun - updated in health section with pics :)

heres my two tanks.. nothing fancy at all. I did have them planted out but the plants never did well and it became a mess.

I know I could get a few fakes plants but they look corny and really ugly. I may start to rotate the bettas in each compartment every couple weeks so they get a change in ornaments.

- I love the setup you have with the bridge. Any problems with fins being ripped on it? I was looking at a similar style today but am afraid of it damaging my female betta's fins. They're really small though. . .I thought she may be okay.

Also are you getting your clay pots from regular gardening stores? How are you disinfecting them before putting them in your tanks?

Do you have heaters in your tanks?

Thanks.

Clay pots from regular garden centres are fine. I have a terracota pot in my tank, just give it a good wash under warm water then pop it into the tank. :)

General observation but I see the dividers being used in everyones tanks were the same. What exactly are they and where can they be bought from?

Most big lfs sells them and there used to seperate fish that will fight if put together. Without the divider the fish will eventually kill each other to death in most cases.
Hope thats answered your question ^

I made my dividers myself for super cheap. You can buy them from the LFS but they tend to be WAY WAY over priced. Around here you can expect to pay $10-$20 per divider. I made mine for less than $1.00 per divider :) :) :)

I bought black "plastic mesh/canvas" that is used for needlework from the craft store for 65 cents a peice. Then from the office/school supplies store and bought a pack of 6 plastic report covers for $2.50. They come with the sliding blue spines which is the only part you need.

You then mesure and cut down your mesh to size and slide on the report cover spines and fit into your tank. Some people silicone them into place but if your careful you dont need to silicone it.

You can also google " DIY tank divider" which give step by steps with pictures.

i use pennplax dividers - can be sourced from lfs ,dp fish ways online or ebay

Nice big tanks, but they do look really bare. Fake plants don't have to be corny and ugly

These are plastic so not suitable for a betta, but silk ones are even more realistic looking. I think they'd be a big improvement :)
