Ill Cat Fish

hi there, today i bought 6 female guppies, 2 males, 2 catfish, another plecy, and another platie... the catfish where doing fine, but one of them has started floating on the top but occasionally trying to swim. ive put him in the baby cage floating on the top for now as i dont want other fish to take bits out of him, should i leave him in the baby cage for a while? also ive turned all lights off

how did you aclimate the fish? Also, what are your water stats, ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, pH and temp? Is it possible you have salt or anything else in your tank?
