Ich Treatment

I would go to the lfs if you have time and pick them meds up.
As you can only use esha products with whitespot meds.

The platy might not have whitespot if the spots are bigger.
I would start dosing with the esha 2000.
If the fish break out in whitespot at least you can then add the esha exit.

Phone the lfs to see if they have the meds and then its not a wasted journey if they don't.

Have just phoned my LFS and they dont have any instock and will take 2weeks to get it. What do you think it is?

I assume there are not other meds I could get?

This is what I got yesterday: http://www.waterlife.co.uk/waterlife/protozin.htm

It could be columnaris.
But sometimes whitespot can look like fluffy white spots.

Any more lfs around you area.

I have phoned the four that I know of. :( with no luck

The waterlife med good but you can't use bacterial meds with it.
Some bacterial meds have whitepot ingredients in them and you end up over dosing if you use them with a whitespot med.

Think myxazin by waterlfie has m green in it.

I would get anti internal bacteria med by interpet.
If they break out in whitespot you would have to risk using both meds together.

Can you issolate the fish with the fluffy cotton wool.

I only have the one tank unfortunately. So dont start with whitespot then, get another one?

Mike

You say the platy spot dosn't look like whitespot.
For now I would add the interpet anti internal bacteria med.
If they shows signs of whitespot you would have to them add the waterlife med.

If I cannot get the Interpet one would the waterlife Myxazin be ok?

Mike

No as myxazin as m green as an ingredient and so you would be over dosing if you use the whitespot meds aswell.

Right ok. Do I need to give halve doses because of my plec? They have the interpet stuff apparently its called Number 9????

Mike

Do you mean half dose the whitespot med.

No as it dosn't say to half dose with ceratain fish in the instructions of the waterlife med I think.

Mike
