I Want To Start Aquarium So Need Some Help!

Hi, I really want to start my own saltwater aquarium but there are some questions I need answering before I start it. First, can I use a fresh water fish tank and just add saltwater to it or will I have to buy a saltwater fish tank? I also would like a clown fish in my aquarium what other fish would you recommend living with it?

Good morning and welcome! I know almost nothing about a saltwater tank. I do know you can use the same tank for freshwater and saltwater. I can't help you with the clown fish. What size tank do you have?

I'd suggest posting this in the marine section. Marine (saltwater) tanks work differently to freshwater, although you can definitely use the same basic tank. You will need different filtration/live rock and other gadgets for maintaining your tank, though, so the marine fans on this board should be able to help you out more in that area
