Haha, I was going to suggest the same fish. I think they look awesome.

I would worry about the female bettas bothering the angels long fins. I haven't kept a sorority before, but all the bettas, female or male, I have ever had seemed nippy when placed in community situations.

don't add paradise fish or other gouramis, since you are fully stocked with these fish already. Remember that they are territorial (and paradise fish are suggested to be kept in species tanks because of their agressiveness) and need around 10 gallons/gourami.

Jewel Cichlids would be far too aggressive, and a mature blue Acara would probably see the tankmates as food,
Paradise fish can be quite aggressive, in particular when you already have other labrynth fish i.e. gouramis and bettas

Kissing Gourami may work if you start off with a 1-2"" fish

They are well cute those kissing gouramis and fit in nicely with my colour theme too I might get one anyway even if it's not my actual centrepiece

I really wanted some kissing gouramis, but didnt know they only did it when they were fighting. Kinda upset me, I thought they were just affectionate fish!!

I am afraid I can be of no help as I only know about the fish I all ready have.

So I dont really know why I posted... hmmm.
