here's a few sugestions:

pacu
red bellied piranha
oscar
MBU Puffer
Common Goldfish.

Can have a couple of them in there. Try the pacu and oscar. They'll show each other off very nicely! :D

how about Nandopisis Tetracanthus.

hmmm bit out of my league i think they look massive too

I would get an Angel.

The Severum would probably eat the Bettas anyhow.

There are some Cichlids that only get up to 6", but still not sure if any would do good with the Bettas.

I think this is the way to go, I just hope it doesn't destroy my plants

7.5 isnt 2 high for discus if u manage 2 find some 1 that sells them close 2 ur house with the same ph, discus arnt as demanding on water ph as most mite think but.... they do need 2 be in groups of say 5 or more 2 even out aggression and so on. but dont fully rule them out i know plenty of ppl that have bred in that sort of ph waters.ppl wont agree i know but..... there wrong lol :p

lol no i dint mean that.... if u ment by my comment i was just refering 2 discus in general obviously discus and betta's mite not be the best idea in the world. sorry for the confusion lol

but if u choose angels 2 IME they will nip fins of betts's aswell so no win situ there i guess :):):)

It really would depend on the Angel(s). Mine is quite timid. It's best to get them small so they grow up with the tankmates.

What about a Blue Acara (Aequidens pulcher)

paradise fish might be too small but look buetifull rams too small gourmis might be a good option
kissing gourmis
