My mogurndas are back together, and I think they are going to spawn soon :D I see a lot of displaying from the female, but my male (Mo) has been slow to react, not that he hasn't reacted ;)

I'll warn you all now, this is the cleanest looking pic of the mogurnda tank that you will see :)

Now, onto the algae, water marks, and god knows what else! :X:

I've put my Mogurnda clivicola back together after about a month of rest for each and some heavy feeding for the female. I put her in today and within ten minutes she was trying to get fat ol' mo to spawn, no luck yet with the lazy blob :p
(Mo is the big one, the unnamed female is the smaller one)

I'll have more pics in a few months :p

I would have cleaned the tank up more, but I didn't want to upset the mogurndas, just a note for anybody who thinks I'm a slob :p

Best of luck to Mo and the little missus. Keeping my fingers crossed for you that they spawn. How big are the happy couple, just out of curiosity? They look like such interesting fish to keep. Looking forward to spawning updates.

Lovely fish, no offense but isnt the glass on the first set of pics filthy? Or is it just a few finger marks (we all have them.. hehe).

Actually, the glass looks fine to my eyes, the camera flash brings out all the smudges :dunno: Half of them are probably from past cleaning attempts

MAM: I know that they will spawn, the fry just have a tendancy of dissapearing :/ Mo is about 6" llong and thicker than my thumb, and the female is about half that size (But at 4") :) This spawn I have a lot of java moss at hand, for food and shelter :)

Thanks :)

looks good , Buddy , your warning fell before blind eyes

Flash photography makes it look much worse than it is ........... ;)

Dwarfs they are awesome!! :hyper: I need to get me a pair of them :D

I just bought another pair of peacock gudgeons...not sure if your dad told ya or not but I didn't have much luck with the first pair. This time I've got them in their own tank and they have been eating since day 1 so that's a good sign.

Best of luck with getting them to spawn..I'm hoping my peacocks will do the same soon. :)

edit - I was so excited to see the mogurndas I forgot to comment on the other fish. :p They are all so cool...I especially love Sunny.

If you have a successful spawn, lemme know..I will buy some fry from you..I am so in love with that mo!

sweet. is it me or is your geo starting to change color a little?

the last was until he ate them :(

and she  , his mate loves him too , even when he starts beating on her ..........

timing is , as they say , everything ....... first we get her out after she lays the eggs , then him , but if it's too soon , they'll fungus , and die , too long :S , he eats them

gunna go get some vinegar , and clean the outside of that glass now

Elisabeth , keep a lid on that tank :) , and let us know what happens ;)

Thanks everyone :)
Any shipping of fish is up to lucky62, but I'm not going to count my fry before they have even hatched (They haven' been laid yet :p ) :D

The Geo gets more and more colorful as he grows, and he's only half way done growing :)

When the mogurndas lay eggs, I'm keeping a very close watch on them, this is their 3rd breeding attempt, so hopefully the fry won't dissapear this time :)

Awwesome fish there, Dwarfs!!! Good luck with the spawning, sometimes it takes a few tries before they get it right. Just don't get discouraged!

And those tanks... :sly: ...water spots on the glass is a sure sign that there is maintenance occuring on that tank! You're doing a great job!

Thanks, the pair still hasn't spawned yet, I've raised the temperature and will do a water change tomorrow :) I'd like to see some fry come out of this :D

Awwww, Mo
Bless his heart, he's one of my fave fish on here. Good luck with the spawn!

Thanks :)
The pair has been separated until tomorrow or Friday due to some aggression (Mo) The female is eating well so hopefully I will get luckier when I put them back together :D
