I Really Need Some Help Please Iv Cracked The Bottom Of My Tank Aarrgg

I doubt your tank lost that much water through dripping... There has to be a small leak somewhere speeping around the silicone!!! Just my opinion. I had the cord from a filter media bag hanging out of the filter, it soaked my floor dripping water out, but I noticed this after a week and it had only dripped out 15 percent of the water maximum.

I'm going with AD on this...there's something else wrong. I'd check everything out really well before putting it all back together.

I would consider running to WalMart, KMart, some place...and picking up a big container or two. I have a few in my garage, just in case I have an issue, such as this. :D I have two huge ones, myself. Cost me $20 each.

It's always good to have a back up plan, just in case....and plastic doesn't break very easily. I'll use them for moving next time. I figure clothes won't hurt them, and they'll still be available once I'm done moving. LOL

This sounds like a similar problem to the one I described in my leaking tanks thread last week - I have now been told by someone at Juwel that it was probably water coming over the side rather than a leak because it stops and starts. But my stand is so water damaged I'm going to have to buy a new one, and as I still don't know why this keeps happening (onto my 3rd tank now having throught first two were faulty!) I'm worried it will just happen again. It always begins after cleaning the gravel on a particular side of the tank which is what made me assume it was a fault in the seal, but I have an old tank part filled with water at the mo to test it and sure enough the seal seems fine. Can anyone tell me how to stop this happening except to leave the water level a little lower and make sure eveything is absolutely level? I really can't afford to keep replacing stands!

Good luck to you too Katie - I hope you've solved your problem now. And sorry to hijack your thread!!
