Last time I went, it was this conversation.
"Me: I'd like this Male Plakat Betta please.
Them: That's not a Betta, that's a Siamese Fighting Fish and it's Female.
Me: I'm sorry but yours wrong. That is a Male Plakat and Betta is another name for Siamese Fighter.
Them: OK then, what size tank do you have?
Me: Well I have 4. A 6 Gallon, which he will going in on his own, An 8 Gallon, A 15 Gallon, which is currently empty, and A 37 Gallon which is currently empty.
Them: I'm sorry but you can't put him in the 6 Gallon, its cruel. I can only sell you this fish if you promise to put him in the 15 gallon on his own. "Betta's" need a 15 gallon tank to themselves at least."
Of course I wanted him so I agreed and then I put him in the 6 gallon when I got home
Now I'm sure a lot of you have seen my Male Plakat? Definitely male, right?
My 15 gallon temporarily has 6 young Kribensis in it. They will be moved to my 37 Gallon with both their mature filters and 2 100 Watt heaters. Sound good?
I'm not saying they are bad but they do need t read up a bit...
