I don’t like change…

I know it’s a part of life, so I accept it, but no one said I have to like it… I don’t like changes to the forums, or websites probably the most, of all changes… seems like I get comfortable using something, and BAM… they change it, and I have to struggle, and figure it out… 2 of my go to fish suppliers have recently updated their websites…

Dan’s just last night… I have an order in process that is not showing up today… probably still transferring data to the new program…

Well, I hate it when supermarkets are changing the aisles. It takes aways a lot of time to find the right groceries when they've moved to another aisle. Btw, when it comes to stores, it's supermarkets I hate the most to be in...

yep… my local hardware store ( that I’m always in, and pretty much had where everything was memorized ) they are helpful, with someone always willing to help find something… I never needs help, now I have to take them up on the help..

I like change for the better, which we don't see much of in the broad world recently, but which is always possible. Websites that change are fine if the choices users can make are protected. For example, my favourite local Indian restaurant changed its website so that now if you order online, you have to pay for delivery. I tend to pick up, so I have to go back in time to call them. They're often busy...
That's a poorly executed change.

I love it when I read a paper changing the name of a fish, if it makes sense. I just read compelling arguments about why @Magnum Man doesn't have Hemichromis exsul, and does have Rubricatochromis guttatus. It was one of those "hey, that makes sense" name changes, just like the revision of Corydoras that drives hobbyists crazy is also sensible when you look at it.

When my local grocery store rearranges everything, that's just greed and trying to make us all look at products we don't want, to find the ones we do. Greed's no change - it's been around forever.

In music, I wish the genres I like would stay around a little longer, and the ones I dislike would change really quickly.

I’m with you Man . I DO NOT like change at all . I hate it when the manufacturer “ new and improves “ my running shoes or whatever it may be . Grocery stores ? They do that so you’ll stay in there longer and possibly make an impulse buy . They don’t know me very well . I only buy what I came there for .
I recently came up with a remedy for changes in the times . I loved living in the 1970’s and I’m growing my hair out like I had it then and going back to the styles I wore then . I liked it then and I like it now . Still haven’t found an old suit jacket I want but the search goes on . It can’t be just any old suit jacket , it has to be one that calls to me . In the 70s, I grew my hair to my shoulders. Now, I'd have to grow my hair on my shoulders. It just wouldn't be as attractive.

I used to wander the thrift stores looking for really old suit jackets. I had a tweed one from the 1920s, and a couple of dark herringbone tweeds I bought for the price of a beer (that was how I counted money back then). Pockets. You will never have more pockets than in a good suit jacket.

At one time, a certain supermarket here had the same layout in all its stores. The one in our town had the same layout as the one in the next town. Then they built a new one in a third town with a different layout so we had to learn where things were all over again in that branch.
The small shop attached to the one in our town closed earlier this year so the supermarket extended the small shop and incorporated it into its existing store - it was closed for 2 months while they did the work. It's been open about 3 weeks and we can't find things - it's yet another layout. So we buy the what we can find on our list then leave, and go to another supermarket for the things we couldn't find.

One of the supermarkets I shop at, has a laminated sheet of paper attached at the end of several aisles to provide information where you can find each category of product. No need to ask someone working there. Works for me.

I've been to a couple grocery stores that has the aisles/products right on the cart.

We have local Costco's that are mirror images of the other one(s).
One has to do a mental reset upon entry -left or right for frozen foods...
