I bought Guniea Pigs!!!

I bought Guniea Pigs!! *Does a little dance* I went to the petstore to buy fish but ended up leaving with two male guniea pigs instead!! They are so freaking CUTE!! They are in a rabbit cage right now but I hope to build them something a little bigger once it gets warmer. I'm not quite sure what to name them yet..One in a dark tawny color all over and the other is white and brown with reddish spots around his ears and the top of his head. Any suggestions??

I finally decided to name them Tucker and Juno.....

They seem so jittery...Is this normal and will they calm down once they are comfortable??

Guinea Pigs are very shy until they get to know you. I have 3 and the new one is so shy that if I drop a pen by accident he runs and hides. Where as Colin my oldest, doesn't care and comes up to see me and lets me strok him no problem. Oscar is a scaredy as well.

What you need to do is take them out for a while every day and give them nice things like guinea pig treats or lettuce. The way to a pig's heart is through his belly. Soon they will connect you picking them up with nice things.

BTW, CS..I LOVE your Gumiea pig cage...I wanna biud something sorta like that but make it one big box instead of three little ones.
