Hydra And Algae?

Ok I have hydra in my tank (can you just confirm these are hydra please, Photo here)

and I have something else, probably algae but what type if possible... (photo here)

Yep, those are hydra. No real danger to medium to large fish, but small fish and fry are at risk. Not sure on the second picture though.

Yea it's the second picture I'm confused about (I thought they were hydra to begin with until I saw the hydra).

I did do a algae search but it didn't match anything

must be the time of year... I just had a hydra bloom - got some fenbendazole on the way to nuke the little ***kers.

yep i hasve hydra too, not reaslly an issue though.

Anyone have any idea what the second photo is? I'm sure it's algae, but which type?
