Hydor Koralia Pumps

i dont like the suction cup/magnet combo. Its too sticky, its hard for me to reposition the hydor.

i have the number one in my sons little tank, the first one i had was very loud, every now and then it would go silent but for the vast amount of the time it was loud, i took it back to the shop where they have now given me a new unit :). it is a lot beter that the other one but still not silent , i get a small buzz from it. it looks to be vibrating around on the stainless shaft, same as the first one but a lot less. also i must say a love the mag suction cup , although as Musho says it is a bit tricky to move , but i would rather it be like than to keep faling off like my dam maxi jets :(

Heck yeah, I'd way rather have a suction cup with magnet that's hard to get off instead of one that's gonna fall off, let the powerhead drop on to the sandbed, and spray everything with sand and detritus...

Just bought a Hydor 3 to replace a chattering Seio M820 (and IME chattering is one step before death). Gotta say I LOVE this thing so far. Clean, good magnet, not too big, kicks up lots of water, only uses 10Watts of electricity. And the impeller design is GENIOUS!!!!! Instead of having a manual stop like a Seio or Maximod, if the impeller spins the wrong way on startup (can/does happen with AC motors) the impeller slides forward in its harness until the magnet gets out of the motor, at which point it's attracted back into the motor to try again. Pure genious!
