I was wondering about that as well...I can barely remember the start to the 70s!!!!

I'm 15 and i've been keeping fish since i was about 8 or 9. Naturally i started with goldfish in an absurdly small tank, i've been keeping tropicals for about 4 years in my current tank.

14, had goldfish as a baby and properly kept tropical fish at the age of 7.

i'm 26, been keeping freshwater tropical planted tanks for two and a half years now. never kept anything else.

I'm 35, started off with a 20l tank with 2 goldfish in 5 years ago learnt my lesson, moved the fish on asap. Been through 4 different sized/shaped tanks in those 5 years, and now have two 180l's and one new 25l (home to a Betta).

Im 50 + . I also remember the 60's. Heck I remember poodle skirts and saddle shoes. I started when I was 10 with guppies. Kept them until mid 70's when I had to give them away since I was moving around alot. Got into it again in May when I got my daughter her first tank a 10 gallon, and a 20 gal 2 months later.

30, kept goldfish in awful conditions before I knew any better from the age of 12 till Uni, now have a couple of tanks going, recently got all excited again about the hobby. I LOVE my 35G at the moment, looking to re stock

I have never had a gap in all that time, wow and still I make STUPID mistakes.

32 i kept goldfish and mollies when i was a teenager then moved around spent many years fishing for bream tench and carp (I feel sooooo guilty now) then 6 months ago i got offered a 55g for £50 with fluval external filter heater pumps etc and snapped it up. That tank now houses mostly mbuna 2 giraffe haps and 2 clown loaches and a plec all settled and happy

Then i bought a rena panorama 120 which has 6 wild frontosa and 2 parrots they get on like a house on fire

and finnaly i aquired a 110g tank complete with a Pangasius hypopthalmus (catfish) 2 large unknown eels a spotted gar and 2 LARGE plecs.

I really need to get my habit under controll lol

I am 18 and have been keeping fish for as long as I can remember. Father started me off with a tank when I was little. Every friday night he would take me to get fish. It's been a great experience.
