How often to test the water

Hello Everyone!
Yesterday my first water test kit came in the mail!! Shocking that I have never tested my water I know but my fish are alive so hey . I've had my tank running since January now and I just have a quick question. With the tank established for this long, how often do you recommend I test the water?

hmm, for me, i just check my pH once a week, at the same time i take out and add new water..

There isn't really a need to check the pH every week...

Check weekly, and change your water when the nitrates get high.

I check the nitrates weekly and if anything is way out of whack i check all the rest of the levels as well.
