my tank is 120cm long, and 38cm wide. (height is irrelevant!) i will have 2-3cm of fertilising substrate, and then maybe another 2cm of gravel on top. roughly how much? i can get 20kg, but i dont want to be short as i will then have to order more and pay postage again! so a little help is needed here! cheers

is it 180 litres?
my 180L tank only needed 20kg of gravel
looks great with it in..

my tank is 104cm x 40cm
so i think 20kg should be enough gravel
it gives about 2" of gravel height

240l. rio 240. i will only have 2cm maybe 3cm of gravel.

i said, 2 maybe 3 cm, i will have probably 2cm of plant fertiliser substrate underneath. so 2cm plant stuff 3cm black gravel

that should be Ok for the tank i suppose..
what are you planning to put in the tank?

community, halequins, rummy nose, 2 keyholes, cardinals etc. what do you 'suppose' it will be fine? is 20kg enough or not to have a 2-3cm layer in a 120cm by 38cm tank.? thats all i ask.
